DR. WAYNE THOMAS

Wayne’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, accountability, and transformation. On March 12, 1997, he was charged as an adult with aggravated robbery in Arapahoe County and sentenced to five years in the Youthful Offender System. Despite this difficult chapter, Wayne used his time to reflect, grow, and rebuild his life with purpose.

Upon his release in 2001, he committed himself to higher education and personal development.Wayne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance and Sport with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He continued his academic journey by obtaining a Master of Arts in Kinesiology, specializing in Athletic Training, from Fresno Pacific University. Driven by a relentless desire for growth and knowledge, Wayne pursued a doctorate and, in the spring of 2014, achieved his highest academic milestone: a Doctorate in Health Sciences (D.H.Sc.) with a focus in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from A.T. Still University.

In 2017, Wayne was granted a pardon, marking a pivotal moment in his life and reinforcing the transformation he had worked so hard to achieve. Following his pardon, he built a successful career in healthcare leadership, serving in various management and leadership roles. Today, Wayne’s purpose is rooted in helping formerly incarcerated individuals reclaim their legacy by building lives grounded in purpose, accountability, and self-actualization.
